​Christopher Kostyn Passante was born and raised in the foothills of the Adirondacks. He is a former journalist with advanced degrees in creative writing, journalism, and theology. The author of two nonfiction books, his fiction has appeared in The Bellingham Review, Cleaver Magazine, Blood+Honey, and elsewhere. He is an alumnus of the Sewanee Writer's Conference and Orion Environmental Writers’ Workshop, and was a finalist for the Tobias Wolff Award for Fiction.

His debut novel, Earthshine, is set for release in 2027 with Apprentice House Press. 

He lives with his wife and four children in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains, where he often can be found sailing on Sonnet and Haiku or exploring the trails with his two wily Australian Shepherds.
